Here's How It Works!

1. After you have registered and paid ahead of time, you will pick up your name tag, loot bag and Route Booklet at the home pub on game day.

2. Next, you will go to the Pub where your pair is assigned to start playing.  You will sit down at the bridge table mentioned in your Route Booklet.  There will be a Steward at each pub that can ensure everyone is at the right table, with the right boards.

3. A server will take your beverage order and will ask you to select your lunch as well.  Everyone plays three rounds of two boards, at four tables, in each pub simultaneously; approximately 1 hour. Lunch will be served immediately following the first round, in the same pub, so that all three pubs benefit equally from letting us use their space.

4. After lunch, ALL PLAYERS move to their second pub. Here they play another six boards.

5. After that, ALL PLAYERS move to their third pub for the final six boards.  In summary, all Players rotate two times and everyone will play in each of the three participating pubs.

6. When all 18 boards have been played, we congregate in the Home Pub where our accredited ACBL Director will announce the results and award prizes.

All these details and more will be in your Route Booklet together with all the other information you will need on the day of the Pub Crawl.

During the weeks before you will be

kept in-the-know with email updates, including the list of participants.

Will This Be Real Duplicate Bridge?

Yes!

Your pair will be either North/South or East/West throughout the entire Route, using the Mitchell Movement.

What's different is that the boards stay in the Pubs and the players move.

The scores will be recorded on travellers as well as electronically.

This will be a "friendly" duplicate affair for the love of playing bridge and having a fun day.

The Director will be in the Home Pub most of the day; the other Pubs will have a rotating (playing) Steward.

Serious issues that cannot be solved amicably at the table, will be arbitrated by the Stewards or the Director, depending on the Pub.

For this unique event we expect to enlist 24 pairs.
